$ Emergency
Financial Assistance Available $ Mission
The Blue Devil Association (BDA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The membership
is made up of Soldiers, Alumni, and family members who are, or have been, associated with the 88th. The purpose
of the Blue Devil Association is to promote and support USAR Soldiers and their families. Our most significant program
is to provide temporary emergency financial assistance to eligible Soldiers and their families. To provide the resources
for these grants, the Blue Devil Association relies on membership dues, various fund raising activities, and fully deductible
charitable contributions. How it works
Because
of changes in the USAR organization structure, the BDA has narrowed the scope of its outreach to USAR Soldiers assigned to
Minnesota units, and those USAR Soldiers outside of Minnesota serving in units subordinate to a higher headquarters located
in Minnesota. The BDA provides emergency financial assistance to USAR Soldiers and their families. Requests
for assistance are identified through the chain of command, chaplain’s office, combat stress teams, and Family Readiness
Groups. The Blue Devil Association approves the request for financial assistance and provides the funding.
If you are aware of a
member of the family who might benefit from this type of temporary emergency financial assistance, or if you have questions,
please contact:
Kathleen Couillard, LTC USA (Retired) couillardks@gmail.com
All referrals and requests for assistance are kept in strictest
confidence.
